Update for 4-3-08

Ian continues with "resting" his intestines. (No feeds since last friday, repogle suctioning stomach contents). He's up to 7lb 12oz. He's pretty fussy lately, partially because he's hungry, then there's also the infection (necrotizing enterocolitis), and the antibiotics (one of which makes ya feel like crap). They have "volunteer cuddlers" that have been coming in and snuggling with him while i'm not at the hospital the past few days. His bottom is healing better now (had been excoriated). The surgeons are intending to try starting feeds again tomorrow if the xray in the am & labwork still look okay. He loves his new mobile, and often stares at it & his big pablo balloon. Here's hoping everything stays on track and gets better!!!
